WILL YOU RECEIVE THE SAME MALA AS PICTURED?
Each mala we create is lovingly made to order, just for you. While the mala you receive will match the materials shown, from the thread and tassel to the beads and guru, it will not be exactly as pictured. That’s because we use natural materials, and every stone holds its own unique beauty.
Variations in color, pattern, and texture are to be expected and celebrated! These differences are what make your mala truly one-of-a-kind.
If you have a preference for cord color or a particular shade of stone, please feel free to message us when you place your order. We will always do our best to honor your wishes, but please check your email. We may have follow-up questions or seek clarification.

WHAT IS A MALA?
The word "mala" comes from Sanskrit and means "garland." For thousands of years, malas have been used in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions as a tool for prayer and meditation. Each bead marks one breath, one mantra, or one moment of intention.
A traditional mala has 108 beads, with shorter versions (like 27 beads) used for a quicker practice. The single larger bead, called the guru bead, marks where your count begins and ends.
HOW DO YOU USE A MALA?
Wear your mala as a necklace, or wrap it around your wrist as an everyday reminder of your intention.
To use it for meditation, hold the first bead next to the guru bead between your fingers, recite a mantra or affirmation, and move to the next bead with each repetition as you work your way around the strand.
There's no wrong way to do it. Some people chant aloud, some repeat silently, and some simply hold their mala and breathe.
When you wear or carry your mala throughout the day, you carry your prayers and are reminded of your path.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR A MALA?
Your mala will arrive with special care instructions to help you keep its energy fresh and flowing. Think of it as a little sacred self-care for your beads.
It’s okay to wash your beads gently in mildly soapy water, rinsing well. Gently pat your beads with a towel, then lay them flat to dry.
Comb your tassel with the included comb occasionally to keep it fluffy and avoid the dreaded dreadlocks.
Wipe sterling silver charms with the polishing cloth included to remove oils weekly.
Avoid stretching your beads, soaking them for prolonged periods (over 30 minutes), or sleeping with them.
Others can touch your mala. High-vibe souls may wear them briefly, but others shouldn’t use them for prayer or mantra. That is for you alone.
